When I started making knives, I focused on basic stock removal which is the process of grinding the shape and profile from a solid piece of flat steel. Since then I have continuously challenged myself starting with forging low layer Damascus steels to now more intricate mosaic patterns. I have always strived to be to the best at what I do and it shows with the quality of work that goes into my knives. Everything from the fit and finish, to perfect symmetry, and most importantly a proper heat treat that pairs with the type of steel and conditions it will be used in.
My main focus is to make hunting and kitchen knives that will not only look amazing, but will give you the comfort and functionality of a perfectly balanced tool. The steels I use most are 1084, 1095 and 15N20. I also use 80CRV2, 52100, and have recently ventured into using more stainless steels. All steel has its pros and cons, but if you have a preference on the type of steel or blade shape you'd like, please reach out to me. I will work with you on custom orders that cover steel type, Damascus designs, blade shape and size, bolster or guard material, and finally handle material and shape. I also have the ability to etch/engrave names and designs upon request.
My goal is to make a knife you love. I want it to be the first thing you strap to your hip when heading into the field, or your favorite knife for preparing food. You can be confident my knives will withstand the test of time in the harshest conditions and the busiest kitchens.
